"The floor of the white man's failures is the ceiling of the black man's expectations"
I believe this statement is referring to that a black man’s dream can be of a big goal amounting to the simplest thing. We as a whole take things for granted and do not see the value in something if it does not shine, twinkle, or glow. We as a people tend to see what is right in front of us and not look beyond to find what where really longing. It takes for someone to make a mistake to find the right or wrong. The simplest goal as getting a state id, applying for a job, finding a route to school, or meeting new people can be a huge accomplishment in someone else eyes. That is why I personally think we should not degrade or shun what people believe in or thrive towards. We all need a support system and some type of motivation or push to succeed. So, a white’s man failure is the ceiling of the black man’s expectations. Not comparing this to a white or black thing, race, gender, ethnicity or culture. But these aspects all do play a part on a scale of what is worth achieving and what isn’t worth achieving. People should learn how to please themselves and acquire what is on their to-do list.
