A country untrustworthy of the Independent Mind.

"It is very nearly impossible to become an educational person in a country so untrusstworthy of the independent mind."

I think that the quote by JFK went something like this, "Ask not what a country can do for you but what you can do for your country." But what if the problem lay within the country that deems progression as regression.
In education, one has to be of an independent mind in order to make an impact. And just as the topic quote implies, "A country so untrustworthy of the independent mind" would be no place for an educational person.
Given that no such place exist, the ones who persevere and work not only for themselves but also for the benefit of other people are the ones who truly succeed in the end.
